About Bryan Sutton

Law enforcement professional with over five years of experience in patrol operations, criminal investigations, intelligence gathering, and leadership. Currently serving as a Sergeant since February 2024, I lead a team of deputies and civilian staff, overseeing patrol operations, developing crime suppression strategies, and coordinating with specialized units to support investigations. I am passionate about mentoring and training personnel, ensuring they are equipped to excel in their duties while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Prior to this role, I served as a Detective in the Violent Crimes Unit and Intelligence Division from December 2021 to February 2024, where I led complex investigations into homicides, robberies, and other violent crimes. My responsibilities included intelligence gathering, covert operations, and collaborating with federal and local agencies. I specialized in surveillance, forensic evidence collection, and preparing cases for successful prosecution. From December 2018 to December 2021, I worked as a Deputy Sheriff, conducting routine patrols, responding to emergency calls, and enforcing traffic laws. I developed strong skills in community engagement, crime prevention, and conflict resolution, always striving to serve with integrity and a commitment to public safety. Before entering law enforcement, I attended the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy from July 2018 to November 2018, where I served as class president and earned an award for placing in the top 10% of my class in both physical and academic achievement. This experience provided me with the foundational skills in law enforcement tactics, ethics, and public safety. In addition to my law enforcement experience, I served as a Campus Missionary with Chi Alpha from May 2015 to June 2018, where I worked to foster a community of students focused on growing closer to Christ. I led small groups, Bible studies, and outreach events, and provided mentorship to students as they navigated personal challenges. I also trained and equipped student leaders to continue the mission of discipleship and service on campus. These diverse experiences have sharpened my skills in leadership, mentoring, public speaking, and event coordination. I am driven by a commitment to service, both in my law enforcement career and in helping others grow personally and professionally.
