About Bryan Townley

I truly believe that planning for accessible and equitable transportation networks must be backed by a personal understanding of how facilities are experienced by people of all ages and abilities. This approach to transportation planning involves going beyond the perspective and requires a deeper understanding of how transportation networks influence – and in turn are influenced by – people. I try to take this empathetic approach to transportation planning to heart, with a keen eye trained on observing, documenting, and learning. I support personal understanding with a strong technical background in transportation/urban planning and GIS analysis at the statewide and regional levels. Cartography and data analysis are at the core of my passions, and I recognize the importance of the many ways in which effective visualizations and analysis can frame and demonstrate need through performance management, project prioritization, and advocating for those who may not otherwise have a voice.
