About Bryan Walman

My name is Bryan Walman. I grew up in Dundas Ontario Canada, home of the world famous (well it is to Dundasians) Dundas Cactus Festival. As far back as grade one I knew animation was in my future. At McMaster University in Hamilton, I doubled in fine art (sculpture & printmaking) and multimedia (animation & graphic design). In 2002 I moved to San Francisco for a master's degree in animation and visual effects at the Academy of Art University. In San Francisco I had the pleasure of working with world class artists from all the major studios and I had the honor of working on a short film that was shown at Annecy and Hiroshima International Film festivals. I have lived in many places all over North America pursing my career and dreams. I moved back to Canada after being in the states for 15 years. Between Boston, Austin and San Francisco, I have called many placed home. In Boston as an Animation Producer and in San Francisco as a Production Manager for 10 years running a Post Production house I honed my skilled at project management. While back here in Toronto, as a Production Coordinator at a VFX house, I have had the pleasure of working on many TV and film productions with a world-class team of artists. I pride myself on the work ethics that I will treat my team the way I would want to be treated myself. I feel artists and all staff are more willing to work with you than against you. In my latest aspect of my career, I am now the Technical Production Manager of the Pipeline team. It allows me to work with a global team of close to 1100 people and directly with a team of 60 extremely talented developers and technicians. I have recently completed a Project Management Scrum Master course and strive each day to implement project management methodologies and the Agile work system with my teams.
