I am a hardworking and compassionate Registered Nurse and DNP student. I have strong critical thinking skills, effective time management, and I am a collaborative healthcare team member. I am proficient in psychiatric-mental health nursing assessment, therapeutic communication, and de-escalation. My time working as a psychiatric-mental health nurse has taught me that the nurse-patient relationship is a critical, professional, and valuable component of personalized comprehensive therapeutic care. The foundation of such a relationship is built over time and upon the establishment of trust, respect, and clear boundaries. Through both my education and nursing experiences, I have decided to devote my nursing career to providing high-quality psychiatric-mental health care to those in need. My professional career goal is to be an established Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and I will strive to maintain my role as an advocate for each of my patients.
