01/28/21 UPDATE! Well.this COVID craziness has certainly put a wrench in the monkey-works, hasn't it? In September of 2017 I graduated from the Library Information and Technology Diploma Program at Langara College in Vancouver. Toward the end of my program, I started working for the North Vancouver City Library as an auxiliary Library Technician, essentially on the front lines of public service helping patrons with all manner of information retrieval, recommendation and referral. Additionally, I started working for the Vancouver School Board in the Media & Library Services Department, helping to catalogue the mountains of books that are purchased by the 107 elementary and secondary schools in the district in addition to assisting libraries with special projects in collection development, weeding and database management. To top it all off, I also began working for the Vancouver Public Library system as an auxiliary Library Service Assistant (read: shelving).**EDIT** I have recently been promoted to the position of LPSA1 with the Vancouver Public Library and now work part-time for the Kitsilano branch.
