Experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit, software, e-commerce, logistics, and counseling industry. Strong accounting professional with a Master of Science (MS) focused in Accounting from Texas A&M University. Bio: After receiving my BBA in Accounting and MS in Accounting at Texas A&M University, I became a CPA and started my career with Ernst & Young in Austin, Texas. I spent most of my time auditing large software companies in Austin and really enjoyed the fast pace and learning opportunities available in public accounting. While working at EY, I began to invest most of my free time serving at The Austin Stone Community Church. After a couple of years serving at the church, I was approached by a few staff members, who after telling me about the growth the church had experienced, asked me to join the finance team. Honestly, I said "no" for almost a year because I had really enjoyed all I was doing in public accounting. After about a year, I finally said yes because I just couldn't pass up an opportunity of a lifetime, to use my God given skillset to serve a church I loved. I joined the Church in 2016 and have had the joy to serve this church through overhauling its financial infrastructure and train staff to best respond to rapid growth and allow for continued scaling in the future. I have developed extensive knowledge in the areas of NFP/Financial management, system implementations and integration (I have lead 5 software implementations and been part of 2 more), adoption of ASC 606 and 842, music/entertainment industry, real estate and facility management, governmental reporting (990, 990T, 941, 1099, Texas Sales Tax, CARES Loan), staff training and development pertaining to resource management, and much more!
