About Bryce Walker

My life experiences and background have helped shape me into the person I am today and have put me on the path to success. I am grateful for these experiences because it has brought me here to this point, pursuing a career as a JAG in the U.S. Armed Forces. My desire to pursue a law career as a JAG has been motivated by my family’s legacy of military service. My father worked in the civilian sector of the military, and my grandfather served in the Navy in World War II. Further, my cousin, Major Felix Kirkpatrick, was a Tuskegee Airman for the Army Air Corps in World War II. He flew over 70 long-range escort missions and shot down a Nazi fighter. His outstanding service earned him the Distinguished Flying Cross. I am blessed to have come from a long line of military service because it instilled a passion for serving and leading. During my athletic career, I was elected Captain of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Track and Cross Country Team because my team and coaches recognized that I have a mindset to push the people around me to be the best on and off the track and hold each other accountable. My colleagues and faculty at the University of Dayton School of Law ("UDSL") recognized my drive to uplift others as well. I was selected to be a student ambassador for my law school and a Community Outreach Committee leader for the Black Law Student Association. My recognition has afforded me the opportunity to serve as a legal intern last year for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio and an intern for the U.S. Army JAG's Corps at Fort Meade, MD. My career at UDSL is an enriching experience that is preparing me to serve as a JAG in the armed forces.
