About Bryn Jones

Big picture, strategic-thinking professional engineer, who likes to "lead from the trenches" and educate building owners, managers and the next generation of buildings professionals to support decision-making and infrastructure capital spending while balancing cost, profit, and risk. I collaborate with client organizations to assess building systems to benchmark codes, standards, and legislative compliance and develop asset and risk management programs from the ground up, as well as evolve currently in-place programs. I am a Professor and Program Coordinator for Building Systems Engineering in the Engineering & IT Department at Conestoga College. I appreciate the opportunity to present at industry events and conferences related to building performance and fire resilience to share both my expertise, as well as to learn and gain deeper appreciation of the issues and challenges that clients and other industry experts face, in order to share that knowledge and experience with my students. I am always open for new opportunities to participate as a speaker, moderator or panel member. My areas of expertise includes Sustainability and Fire Resilience (SAFR) and risk management, AODA compliance, Building Science, Energy Management, Asset Management and Master Planning, Data management and software implementation, Functional Planning, Real Estate Due Diligence and program implementation for durability, asset preservation, legislative compliance and total cost of ownership optimization.
