About Bryson Carrier

Health and human performance scientist specializing in physiology, biostatistics and human subjects research. I received my PhD from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences, where my research focused on using wearable/biometric technology to track and improve health and human performance metrics as well as determining the validity and reliability of the devices. My expertise encompasses the physiological responses to stimuli in the cardiorespiratory, bioenergetic, and musculoskeletal systems, complemented by a statistics certification from the American Statistical Association (ASA-GSTAT).I am trained in various research methods and clinical trial design, I have extensive experience in statistical analysis and managing large datasets from wearable technology and using public datasets. My work includes conducting several literature reviews, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses. I have led and participated in various research projects, from conception to completion, which included writing/reviewing internal regulatory documents for IRBs, data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation. This has resulted in over 15 peer-reviewed manuscripts being published and more than 60 scientific abstracts. I have presented my research at dozens of regional, national, or international conferences, honing my ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.In my teaching roles, I have taught a variety of courses in health and life sciences, sharing my passion for science with students. I have also performed physiological testing on collegiate and professional athletes, and worked with the UNLV Sport Science team to evaluate and monitor athletes and manage athlete data.Ultimately, I am committed to enhancing the intersection of health sciences and technology, supporting health and human performance research, and ensuring the effective dissemination of scientific information.
