About Brysyn McHenry
I am a currently in my third year as a Spanish teacher working in a high school setting. In addition to teaching Spanish 1-3, I also have a specialization in ESL/EAL/MLs. I have an intense interest in resolving the disparity between a child's lack of academic achievements that stem from an incompleteness of comprehension towards the determined "common" or "correct" language that is used in their school system. During breaks, I am volunteering in school systems that have a high concentration of students that use a language outside of English in their homes. I hope by volunteering in these After School Programs I can better prepare myself for running a classroom focused in teaching students English.
