About Bryton Sampson

Since 2011 I have worked as an in-house marketing specialist for several high-profile Salt Lake City-based organizations. In my career I have served as sole or key contributor to marketing efforts. My primary focus is wordsmithing — writing/editing copy for internal and external communications, including: press releases, social media posts, blogs, annual reports, crisis communications, advertorials, event calendar listings, advertising campaigns, video and radio scripts, interpretive signage, wayfinding signage, posters, and newsletters. In every task, I adapt the written voice to best fit the work and maintain stylistic consistency. I particularly enjoy large projects where I get to take extensive amounts of information and distill it into something a general audience can easily understand. I also specialize in Media Relations. In all my roles, I have written and sent press releases, crisis communications, pitched stories, coordinated interviews and shoots, and served as organizational spokesperson in print, radio, and live television interviews. Video and Audio Production is what led me into Marketing in 2011. I have produced short documentary-style videos and promotional videos. This work entails conceiving, scripting, filming, and editing, or directing other creatives. As a video content creator I bring is an innate understanding of the organization as an in-house employee, the ability to work efficiently as a one-person crew, and a creative eye that I've honed (and continue to hone) over time.
