Have coached the sports of football, wrestling and track. Coached a State champion girls track team in 2005. Coached in 4 all star football games. Been a guest speaker at coaching clinics in the states of Nebraska, Montana, and Iowa. Was a history teacher for 20 plus years. Served has a National History Day judge for 7 years. Veteran of the USMC. Served on the Chester Village council. Since 2006 has been the Democratic Party Cherry County Chair. 2009-present Chair of Chairs of the Nebraska Democratic party, a voting member of the Executive Council. 2012 National Delegate for The Democratic Party. 2009 award winner of the Bob Kerrey award for 3rd District volunteer of the year. 2012 Morrison Exon award winner for the Nebraska Democratic Party. 2016 Winner of the Bob Kerrey award for 3rd District volunteer of the year. Worked for the Bob Kerrey 2012 Senate Campaign. Worked for the Dave Domina 2014 Senate Campaign race. Worked on the Hillary Clinton 2016 Presidential campaign. Involved in the Joe Biden 2020 Presidential Campaign, Was a National Delegate for Joe Biden in 2020 and was the Nebraska Whip Captain for the Biden Campaign. Appointed by President Joe Biden September 2021 to become a commissioner in the American Battle Monuments Commission.
