About Bud Sims

Educating myself on areas within information systems to round out my technical knowledge began while pursuing a bachelors of science in computer networking and system communications. Doing so allowed me to gain an entry level position with a dedicated hosting company where I continued to expand my knowledge in systems engineering. After 5 years of mutual growth, I left the company to pursue an opportunity within Healthcare IT at Allscripts. I quickly rose the ranks and became a solutions architect/associate manager. Allscripts provided me with diverse and challenging projects which allowed me to grow my technical and managerial skills. During my time with Valence Health, I earned the opportunity to expand my knowledge of data mining, data warehousing, and analytics. I applied this knowledge to my previous experiences and managed the implementation an operations support division. This included, but was not limited to, the implementation of JIRA and Confluence for client services and operations. I currently use my experience of implementing JIRA, Confluence and Agile at Valence to consult with smaller organizations as they do the same. The opportunities I seek are with companies which are both technology and service leaders within their fields.
