Budd Margolis is an international TV shopping sales and company development expert. He is a convergent media entrepreneur and strategist with a diverse career in the television broadcasting industry, business planning, executive management and futurist. He has been involved in the launch of several major European TV broadcasters, including TV3 in Scandinavia, Sky TV Eurosport, and QVC in the UK. Throughout his career, he has developed numerous general entertainment, news, and shopping TV channels in over 50 countries. Today the focus is AI and mobile phone-streaming and social media activities. Margolis has provided advisory services to many companies on convergent, TV shopping, and eCommerce strategies. He was also the head of eCommerce for British Telecoms, overseeing a global workforce of employees. He has advised major retail, media/publishing companies, financial institutions, and analysts. With his extensive experience, Margolis has gained a thorough understanding of consumer behaviour in both live and digital environments. He has won a regional Emmy award and held positions such as head of factual programming for the first commercially supported TV satellite channel in Scandinavia and editor for Eurosport news. He has produced thousands of hours of live sport and shopping programs worldwide. Margolis has worked on various projects across different countries, including Africa, India, the Middle East, and Ukraine. He has been involved in the planning, training, and launch of Africa's first live TV shopping channel, advised companies and worked on the development of TV shopping businesses in India. In addition to his TV broadcasting career, Margolis has been a consultant and advisor to the home shopping and digital retail industry. He has worked with a wide range of clients globally, assisting in the development of electronic and digital retail strategies, home delivery projects, and planning for various television and web streaming channels. Margolis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Theory, Political Science, and Comparative Religion from American University. He is fluent in English and Swedish and has a US passport and full UK residency status.
