About Budhdeo Kumar Sinha

After a successful career spanning over 34 years, I have recently taken voluntary retirement from The Oriental Insurance Company Ltd, one of India's leading public sector general insurance companies. As a Chief Manager, I have handled various departments and portfolios, including Marine and Aviation, Motor, and Rural Insurance, at the corporate office in Delhi, as well as at the branch, divisional, and regional levels across the country. I have extensive domain knowledge and experience in non-life insurance, covering various aspects such as underwriting, claims, re-insurance, business development, and training. I have also been a faculty at the company's training centers, teaching Fire, Marine, and Miscellaneous Insurance to the staff and officers. I have been a team leader who loves to encourage team spirit and motivate the team members to keep improving themselves. I have also been tech savvy and proficient in using various applications such as Business Intelligence Tool, INLIAS, and HRMS. Some of the major proposals that I have closed include Shipping Corporation of India, Pawan Hans Ltd, Alkem Laboratories, and YSR Bima of Andhra Pradesh government. I have also explored the untapped potential of rural insurance in India, where the penetration is less than 4%. I am looking to start my second innings with a broking firm in Mumbai, where I can leverage my expertise and experience in non-life insurance and contribute to the growth and profitability of the organization. I am passionate about learning new things, sharing my knowledge, and solving problems. I am also committed to providing quality service and customer satisfaction. I believe that I can add value and make a difference in the insurance industry. I am happy to share that I am now on-boarded with M/S Unison Insurance Broking Services Pvt Ltd in Mumbai.
