About Bulali Mdontsane

I am an engineering management professional working for an LPG company in the energy space. As the Industrial Infrastructure manager, I manage a team of 5. The qualities that I have demonstrated in my career are; Team effectiveness and collaboration which were accentuated when I was implementing a computerized maintenance management system in 30 sites across 4 countries in Southern Africa. I was supported by the parent company in France. The success of the project bore testament to the ability to communicate across cultures, break barriers and show the deep commitment to get the work done. I have had the privilege of providing our energy solution to a diverse industry backgrounds. Such as 100 MW Concentrated Solar Power plant for the salt melting process or A gas filling plant that caters for the low end domestic market in the western cape region. Additionally, I was at the forefront of a project that involved the reinstatement of a strategic 2Million litre import storage. The facility is key to the security of supply of LPG in the south African Market. In shaping my future and the vision, I graduated with a masters in engineering management cum laude, the benefit to my career is the international exposure where I presented my research at the IEEM 2017 conference in Singapore. Beyond the workplace, I am an impactful emerging leader. I volunteer my time as a board trustee. I am a panelist that selects students to be awarded bursaries by the foundation in collaboration with UJ. I also contribute by identifying community projects that need funding. the most recent example is a after care center at Ivory park that impacts the lives of 317 underprivileged children.
