About Burl Howard

Burl Howard, President and Cofounder of Veterans is a former highly-decorated Noncommissioned Officer of United States Marines, having served in highly technical billets throughout a successful military career. Following his honorable discharge from the Marines, Burl served as Senior Security Technician with Securitas, Diebold and Ackerman, and also held the position of Project Manager for Innovative Security. In 2008, after a salmonella outbreak in the food-production industry, the Government mandated close supervision over processing and packaging of nut products. To address this mandate, Burl recommended, designed and implemented a surveillance system to electronically record and monitor real-time operations at commercial food production locations. Having achieved Senior Consultant status on U.S. Government security projects, Burl is a sought-after expert in his field. In 2013, Burl founded Veterans Security Solutions to address the need for genuine customer service in the commercial, government and home security industry. Veterans is a growing electronic security company located in Frederick, MD and currently serves the National Capitol Region and Tristate area.
