About Byron Yonce

I began my professional career with Champaign County Tent and Twin City Tent and Awning in 1988. I worked part time as an installer during my high school and college years. In 1994, I put my degree in Broadcasting to work. I worked in the control room for a couple of different stations in central Illinois. I returned to Twin City Tent and Awning in 1996 and was named President of the company in In this role, I oversaw all aspects of production and worked with the sales staff. Professionally, I was elected to the Board of Directors of the Banner, Flag and Graphics Association (now called the Fabric Graphics Association) from until 2004. I served for the last two years as Chairman of the Board. In 2006, I was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Professional Awning Manufacturers Association where I served as Vice Chairman. In 2007, I was elected to the newly formed Midwest Fabric Products Association Board of Directors as Vice-President. This group formed from the merger of two smaller regional associations. In 2017, I left Twin City Tent and Awning to begin a career in sales with Ennis Fabrics. I oversaw a three state territory. I sold industrial fabrics to awning, boat cover manufacturers, boat reupholstered, tarp manufacturers, and industrial sewing companies. Over the years I have been very involved in my church and the sporting activities my children participated in. I enjoyed coaching little league, as well as assisting with their school sports. My children are now grown and we still spend time together rooting for the Cardinals, taking vacations, and hanging out as a family.
