About C. J. Stephens

I'm currently employed with State Employees Association (SEANC) as Director of Member Service. I currently manage insurance and discount programs for SEANC members. SEANC has approximately members. Prior to working at SEANC, I was employed with the NC State Highway Patrol for 24 years, 14 years assigned to the NC Governor's detail. I performed and coordinated security and travel arrangements for Governors and their spouses, and coordinated special events at the Governor's Mansion.From August 2009 until retirement, I was Lead Investigator in the Internal Affairs section. I conducted investigations, contacting complainants, witnesses and members of the Highway Patrol for interviews. I traveled to various locations to interview witnesses, gathered necessary documentation from different sources, prepared and submitted a written report of the investigation. I was responsible for providing a preliminary report of these critical incidents in a timely manner to the Patrol Commander and the Unit Commander of Internal Affairs.My strengths are leadership & development, strong communication, operational improvement, conflict resolution, strategic planning, knowledge and experience of the structure of state government.
