About Cade Abrams

I’m a PhD-trained AI/ML Engineer who connects scientific modeling with deployable intelligence. My work sits at the intersection of research and application, taking ideas that start as models or metrics and turning them into reliable systems that operate in the field. I’ve built AI pipelines for defense, health-tech, and human-performance projects, from BERT-based NLP systems to edge computer-vision models that run on constrained hardware. I also design R Shiny applications that make complex data usable and repeatable for teams that depend on it. Most of my work happens in secure or resource-limited environments, where software has to be efficient, self-sufficient, and built to last. Outside of engineering, I continue to publish research on cognition and motor competence. The goal in both my research and engineering is the same: to design intelligence that works where it matters, on the ground, on the edge, and in real-world systems that people rely on.
