About Cade Nelson

As a graduate with a B.S. in Cybersecurity from Grand Canyon University, I have developed a solid foundation in security operations, risk management, and IT governance. My academic journey, which I completed in just three years, included hands-on projects like developing an email auditing service and building a virtual home lab, allowing me to gain practical experience in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and network security.During my internship at Willamette Valley Medical Center, I worked closely with IT teams to secure systems, troubleshoot network and software issues, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other security protocols. My experience in imaging and configuring PCs, as well as identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, allowed me to make impactful contributions to the organization’s security posture.I’m passionate about cybersecurity and dedicated to staying current with emerging threats and technologies. With a strong foundation in both technical skills and project management, I’m excited to contribute to organizations by enhancing security, improving operational efficiency, and mitigating potential risks.
