About Cady L.

Looking at my education and work history, I doubt anyone would guess that I grew up in the rural Midwest, surrounded by farm fields and woodlands. Since I was a tween, I dreamed of getting out into the bigger world. Fueled by a love for education and culture, I went from a high school graduating class of 100 to a Los Angeles based university of nearly that truly felt like home. In 2009, I enrolled as a French major with the intention of becoming a teacher, but as the years went by I found more and more opportunity to expand my horizons. In 2013, I graduated with a double major and a summer of study abroad under my belt, ready to find a career. As it so happened, shortly after starting at my first two companies, they decided to get into the social media game and I was the most knowledgeable person on staff both times. I quickly stepped up and into my new role of marketing and media strategy and started building a path based on that skillset.I helped build the online presence for nearly two dozen companies/brands in all, watching as our reach and engagement expanded exponentially. From not using social media at all to being seen by hundreds of people with each post, I provided insight, strategy, and best practices for all of the major platforms.After a decade in California, my life has taken another turn and I'm trying my luck in the big, wide spaces of Texas. As my career continues to grow, the three most important aspects I keep in mind are: Community, Impact, and Learning. I am seeking opportunities that will allow me to utilize my social media experience to make an impact in the lives of others.
