About Caedyn Lipovsky

I am a rising senior at Temple University studying Neuroscience and mathematics on the premed track in the honors program. My passion for knowledge and learning has been a driving force behind my interest in research. Inspired by my prior medical experiences, I aspire to have a career in surgery and ultimately aim to enroll in an MD/PhD program to become a physician scientist. My research interests lie in experimental and computational approaches aimed at improving functional recovery for individuals with spinal cord injuries. I am also intrigued by external factors involved an individuals clinical outcomes, which is reflected in the project I conducted at Boston Medical Center last summer. To prepare for my future as a physician-scientist, I have engaged in research since my freshman year spanning experimental, clinical, and computational domains. I have shadowed professionals across more than 10 medical specialities and dedicated extensive volunteer hours at Pennsylvania Hospital. Additionally, I have assumed multiple leadership positions, honed my skills as a scientific writer, and tutored students for over two years. Currently, I am conducting research at Princeton University's Neuroscience Institute through the esteemed Leadership Alliance program under the mentorship of Dr. Jonathon Pillow. In the fall, I will continue volunteering at Pennsylvania Hospital and conducting research. I am driven by a commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes, and I look forward to contributing to the intersection of medicine and research in my future career.
