Dedicated community development professional with 14 years of experience in organizing, planning, implementing, monitoring & evaluating development programs with enthusiasm, adaptability, and love for fresh ideas. Passionate and highly experienced in wholistic community led development approaches that ultimately shift power and control to communities. Key Career Highlights: 1. Leadership responsibility for programme related grant making and accompanying Organizational development support for KCDF’s partners through development of strategy, and training of KCDF staff to effectively support grant making and Organizational Development (OD) support for KCDF partners. Coordinating and overall oversight in the efficient direct and partner-led implementation of community development programmes by KCDF. Includes partner identification and grantmaking. The grants to local implementing partners are embedded with ongoing learning, co-creation, and capacity building support. Effective Team Leadership in Programme Design and Fundraising resulting in financial sustainability across KCDF’s programme portfolio i.e. In 2020/2021, I successfully led the fundraising efforts of KCDF leading to the following funding: USD 1.6M for livelihoods, USD 4.5M for philanthropy and policy influencing, USD1.1M for education programs among others. Was part of the lead team that designed highly effective courses for Civil Society Organizations in the areas of Local resource mobilization, advocacy & policy influencing. These modules are currently offered through blended learning. I am a master trainer. Successfully managed a health (HIV) and livelihoods projects as OVC / CHBC Coordinator and Manager anchored on systemic change/ working with government agencies for sustained change. Champion for the #Shiftthepower movement geared towards shifting decision-making and resources to local agency for sustained and community-led development outcomes. Includes taking part in national and global conversations as a speaker and influencer. Leadership in designing a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework for measuring household wellbeing during my tenure as Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. The framework was afterwards adopted by USAID OVC programmes across the country I have a Master of Arts degree in project planning and management from Nairobi University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Management for Community Development from the ESAMI, Arusha, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Community Development & Social Work from Daystar University.
