About Caidyn Bearfield

I attend Columbus State Community College and I am seeking an Associates of Arts, Entrepreneurship Certificate, and Digital Marketing Certificate. I am employed at my college as a Scholar Coordinator for the program Scholar Network, designed to support former foster youth as they navigate college. My key duties include helping students apply for scholarships, answering questions about the college, planning and hosting monthly events, and connecting students to community resources. I am also graced with the opportunity to be an advocate in my community, which includes writing and speaking formal testimonies to our legislators with the goal of policy change. I also work at The Bristol Senior Living as an Activities Assistant. Here, my essential function is to plan and facilitate 5-8 engaging daily activities for the senior community. These activities include all aspects of wellness and thus vary greatly; I lead exercise routines, teach painting classes, promote meaningful involvement in the community and much more. I am in the process of launching a small business, Dough For It. Dough For It is a subscription box that delivers ingredients for 2-6 loaves of bread, all essential specialty tools, and a few fun bonus items carefully curated to aid in learning the art of artisan bread. Each box contains a unique access code to detailed instructions in which I demonstrate technical skills, share recipes, and explain the science behind the craft of breadmaking. I love to bake and I was a consultant pastry chef for Black Fork Bistro. From growing up in the service industry and ample work experience in healthcare and hospitality, I have exceptional customer service skills. Other notable transferable skills include my creativity, compassion, and resourcefulness.
