Hello! I'm Casper, a passionate advocate for sustainability and international development with a diverse background in research, project management, and cross-cultural engagement. I recently graduated from American University with a 3.94 GPA and have completed dual Master's degrees in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development and International Affairs. I proudly served as the Student Council President at the University for Peace (UPEACE), where I represented the diverse student body, addressed their concerns with the university administration, and fostered a positive campus environment. I led council meetings, guided members, and ensured open communication channels for effective collaboration and decision-making. My professional journey includes internships with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Starbucks Corporation. At ADB, I managed engagements with the U.S. Commercial Service Offices and Global Sector teams, facilitated opportunities for targeted U.S. companies, and conducted comprehensive research to inform decision-making strategies. During my tenure at Starbucks, I served as a Shift Supervisor and Sustainability Fellow. As a Shift Supervisor, I led a team of baristas, ensuring operational excellence and outstanding customer service in a high-volume store. As a Sustainability Fellow, I developed a store-level toolkit of environmental and climate justice recommendations and presented findings to the Chief Sustainability Officer. My academic and professional journey has been enriched by international experiences, including studying abroad at UPEACE in Costa Rica and completing a practicum on agroecology in southwest Costa Rica through American University. These experiences have refined my Spanish and cross-cultural communication skills and enhanced my ability to problem-solve global sustainability challenges. Additionally, I have completed certifications in Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research and Telework Fundamentals. With a strong foundation in sustainability, research, and project management, I'm excited to continue making meaningful contributions to global sustainability and development efforts. I am actively seeking opportunities to leverage my skills and experiences to drive positive change in the world.
