About Caileen Moran
I currently work as a full-time clinical veterinarian at UIC, overseeing the care of a diverse range of species. I serve as the primary veterinary oversight for two rodent facilities, including a mouse barrier facility and a rat facility. In addition to this, I provide veterinary support to our large animal, primate, and surgical facilities and play an active role in IACUC protocol review and program oversight. In the short term, I am focused on achieving board certification with the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM). My broader goals include fostering a collaborative, forward-thinking, and supportive work environment that advances both research and animal welfare.
