About Cailin Abrahams
While working towards a Bachelor’s degree in psychology I found a unique focus in holistic psychotherapy and the influence of genetic abnormalities on childhood development and behavior. After graduating, I began working at small school in New Orleans that caters to students and young adults with atypical development, primarily Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome. Having the opportunity to work in a small classroom setting with middle/high school age students and adults with special needs has provided an incredible first hand experience in education and a further understanding of what means to live with an abnormal development path. As I move forward in my professional career I look to continue working with people of all ages and developmental differences to help create an inclusive and supportive society for those who need it most.
