About Caimin Jones

Caimin BE, Eur Ing, C.Eng, FIEI, FConsEI is a Director of the Garland Group of companies and the Managing Director of both Garland Ormond International and Shannon International Development Consultants. He has over forty years experience as Design Engineer, Structural Engineer, Project Engineer, Resident Engineer, Project Manager and Director involved in the procurement, master planning, design and implementation of large Civil and Structural Engineering projects including Industrial, Technological, Business, ICT and Retail Parks and Free Zones, site infrastructure and industrial, institutional and commercial buildings. He is also experienced in the preparation of pre-investment, feasibility studies, master plans for urban and rural infrastructure and on the detailed design of site infrastructure including roads, sewers, water supply etc. Over the years he has been responsible for many major civil and structural engineering projects both in Ireland and overseas in Guyana, Jamaica, Slovenia, Croatia, Kosovo, Bosnia Hertzgovina, Albania, Russia, Palestine, Yemen, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, Western Samoa, Mauritius, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Mozambique, Ghana, Gambia, Dominican Republic and Haiti. Caimin is familiar with both national and international conditions of contract, specifications and methods of measurement and is computer literate and experienced in the use of proprietary programs for analysis, design and project management. He is fully familiar with the procedures and requirements of international financing institutions and is responsible for all the Garland Group technical and financial submissions to these bodies.
