About Caitlin Breen

After graduating from Salisbury University with a degree in Exercise Science, I found an interest in structural heart imaging. I completed my training for my RDCS certification and quickly excelled working at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital as a cardiac sonographer. I was a lead sonographer for the Structural Heart Research program and specialized in procedural TEE's for cardiac device implants. After working as a sonographer for 3+ years, I was provided the opportunity to expand my training by accepting the Clinical Research Coordinator position at Union Memorial. I was able to quickly jump on board with the department, as my background in echo helped shape the understanding of the clinical trials at our site. Currently serve as the Lead Coordinator of the TRILUMINATE and ALLRISE Studies and co-coordinator on multiple other cardiovascular trials.
