About Caitlin Brown

As a collaborative, constructive, and creative leader with over a decade of experience in educational environments, I have had a multi-faceted career as a co-founder and director of a registered 501©3 organization, program director, and educator. As a program director, I have identified and analyzed objectives for programs and spearheaded project plans, including programmatic and procedural developments. Additionally, I have hired, trained, and supported hundreds of faculty and staff members each year. As an enthusiastic educator, I have designed curricula and lessons to promote engagement and understanding amongst diverse populations and students demonstrating a variety of needs. I have developed award winning programming and established partnerships with schools, nonprofit organizations, and businesses. In my current role, I am serving as the backbone of the Youth Support Network. Comprised of 80 diverse youth-serving organizations, the Youth Support Network is an initiative housed with ACT for Alexandria with the vision of ensuring that every youth in Alexandria thrives, regardless of circumstances, through equitable access and engagement in high-quality out-of-school time and community-based programs. The network fosters collaboration and provide coordinated supports to a network of community organizations, government agencies, schools, and other partners dedicated to improving the equity, quality, and continuous innovation of youth-serving programs in the City of Alexandria.
