Background

About Caitlin Gronowski

I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at Santa Clara University pursuing my Bachelors of Arts in History and Classical Studies. I am a member of the Santa Clara University Honors Program as well as the History and Classics honors societies, Eta Sigma Phi and Phi Alpha Theta. I currently work at the University library and I am a research assistant for the Lingua Vitae Project under Dr. Crofton-Sleigh. I have ample experience in research in the fields of Classics and History. In the last three years, I was fortunate to work for both the Classics and History departments of Santa Clara University as an office assistant. These positions provided me with invaluable skills pertaining to managing academic departments and assisting professors with their courses. I interned with the Santa Clara County Parks Department for a year, which gave me several opportunities to learn about the operation of county parks and the field of interpretation as a whole. As an interpretation intern, I helped lead school programs at Martial Cottle Park educating local second and third graders on the rich history of the Silicon Valley. Further, I worked on educational materials such as a traveling historical trunk and a docent guide for Bernal Ranch, which required extensive historical research.
