About Caitlin Jacques
I currently lead research and development at the Northwest Genomic Center in the lab Wei Lab at the University of Washington. We utilize NGS and third generation long-read sequencing from PacBio and ONT to uncover clinically important genetic variation. Our research supports many programs, including All of Us, the Centers for Mendelian Genomics, the Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine (TOPMed), and SMaHT. My PhD research centered around a conserved group of transcription factors that is involved light-mediated regulation of hypocotyl growth in Arabidopsis. I received an NSF EAPSI Fellowship that allowed me to continue to study these transcription factors at RIKEN in Yokohama, Japan.
