About Caitlin McLaughlin

I am a highly motivated, self-driven person with experience in both science and languages. I graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2019 with a 1st class degree in Immunology & Pharmacology. This led to me pursuing a career in laboratory diagnostics, and I currently have four years of experience working as a laboratory assistant in the West of Scotland Specialist Virology Centre (Glasgow Royal Infirmary). Four years ago, I enrolled in an online Spanish class, and since then have developed a passion for language learning. I have committed a huge amount of time and effort into improving my Spanish skills, and this has ultimately led me to where I am now. I am currently working in Lucena (Spain) as an English language assistant in a secondary school. This experience has been extremely valuable in allowing me to continue to develop both professionally and personally. I am looking to the future and would like to secure more permanent employment in Spain for a longer term.
