About Caitlin Mora

In 2013, if I would have been asked what my career aspirations were, I would have answered by stating, “attorney.” Now, however, my answer is quite different. My brief experience in a law firm setting allowed me to get a taste for a day in the life of an attorney – a lot of paper pushing, a lot of phone calls, and very little direct client interaction. It did not take me long to realize that direct human interaction is essential to my purpose, and a necessity for my future career. It was at the law firm that I realized how much I truly missed working directly for, and with people, and especially patients in a hospital setting. It follows that I was recently accepted to the Graduate Entry Master of Science in Nursing program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. This program is specifically designed for individuals with baccalaureate degrees outside of nursing. It is my vision to utilize my degrees in psychology and public policy to make a difference in the lives of my patients on a micro and macro scale, by providing direct and effective patient care, while executing policies and procedures that facilitate the highest quality patient outcomes. “Shoot for the moon.
