About Caitlin Powell

During Caitlin’s 19 years in the construction industry, she has excelled in managing a range of project types of all sizes across many market sectors. This includes new construction, remodels and tenant improvements—many in operational environments—for retail, high-tech, energy, automotive, healthcare, school and aviation clients. She is passionate about aviation construction and knows what it takes to work in an active airport, delivering construction projects efficiently while prioritizing passenger experience and seamless airport operations. One of her favorite projects was at Portland International Airport (PDX), ensuring construction was completed on a $2billion renovation while impacts were minimized to the operating airport. She was selected for this role because of her history of delivering high client satisfaction on complex projects, and her way of connecting with people and building authentic relationships. Caitlin is passionate about sustainability and has worked on over 27 projects pursuing LEED Certification, as well as serving in a key role on the 4th fully Living Building certified building in the world, the Bertschi School’s Living Science Building. Caitlin has been actively involved with local and national green building programs and initiatives. She has served in numerous leadership roles with both the United States Green Building Council and the Cascadia Green Building Council, starting in 2006. Caitlin is always looking to engage the next generation of building professionals and enjoys teaching classes on sustainability, construction and diversity and inclusion. She is also a Master Recycler, actively volunteering to educate citizens about waste reducing, reusing, recycling and rethinking! Caitlin received her Executive MBA at the University of Oregon in June 2024.
