About Caitlin Sharman

With a strong foundation in clinical care and over a decade of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine, I successfully pivoted into public health to expand my impact from individual treatment to community-wide health improvement. My career has been grounded in building meaningful relationships, leading teams, and developing programs that address real needs and drive positive change. For the past year, I’ve been working as a Public Health Specialist focused on Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention and serving as Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. This role has allowed me to apply my clinical background in new ways, developing, implementing, and evaluating public health programs that aim to improve population health and promote long-term wellness. My experience in sports medicine, orthopedic care, and community engagement continues to shape my approach to addressing public health challenges through both preventative and strategic efforts. I’m especially passionate about improving health literacy and creating more opportunities for communities to engage with preventative care and wellness. Whether coordinating emergency response efforts or designing chronic disease prevention initiatives, I bring a collaborative mindset and a commitment to equity and access. I’m always looking to connect with others working to improve health outcomes and promote sustainable, community-driven solutions.
