My name is Caitlin Strickland, and I am a graduate of Elon University in North Carolina. While at Elon I obtained a B.A. in History, and Secondary Education Teaching Licensure. I was able to have a unique and experiential education during my time at Elon through being actively involved in the Teaching Fellows Program, Elon's Student Government Association, and Educators of Color Network. I was able to excel both in individual and collective sectors of Elon, being recognized and awarded by a variety of cultural and noncultural organizations. Elon also offered me various opportunities to extend my knowledge base, by encouraging programs, such as the Intercultural Learning Certificate Program, in which I was able to obtain a certificate in intercultural competence.
