About Caitlin Thomas

My name is Caitlin Thomas. I work as a Mental Health Therapist. I work with clients who are pregnant or postpartum. The work we do focuses on combatting shame and overcoming PPD and PPA using the skills of self-compassion, emotion regulation, and helping to build self-worth. I am a graduate of Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am also a graduate of Weber State University with a Master's Degree in Professional Communications, with an emphasis on research writing, multimedia, and public speaking. My passions lie in the world of mental health. I want to help educate and empower others through education and advocacy work. I also love writing and I am passionate about helping others to see their potential through media and writing. I have been trained in all areas of communications including reporting, editing, creating multimedia content, social media, outreach, public relations and speaking, podcasting, etc. I also have a background in design, audio and video editing, and podcasting. My goal is to combine my two areas of expertise and use media as a platform to further education and awareness in mental health and suicide prevention.
