About Caitlin Tremucha

Driven by my love for learning and creativity, I balance my life between science and art: the power of science can transform and better living conditions in underserved communities, whereas art expresses complex emotions of the human experience and unites people. As a senior student at Wayne State University, I am pursuing a bachelor's of science degree with a major in Biochemistry and Chemical Biology Honors, a co-major in University Honors, and a minor in Animation and Interactivity on a pre-medical track. With my experience in various creative positions as the Co-Creative Director of WSU's student organization the Filipino Student Society (FIL-SOC), a mural volunteer at the Play Place Autism & Special Needs Center, and an Activities Aide at Pomeroy Living Sterling Assisted & Memory Care, I endeavor to broaden my artistic skills in different media, collaborate with others in the creative process, and make meaningful contributions to these communities. Additionally, I have a background in working with students as an Organic Chemistry II Peer Mentor and a College Algebra Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, serving as both a helpful and encouraging guide for students to succeed, where I combine creative ways of teaching and problem-solving. With every experience or obstacle I face, I persevere with my upbeat attitude and continue to grow not only as an aspiring doctor but also as an artist, finding purpose in all the things I love and do.
