About Caitlyn Egan

I am a current fourth year undergraduate student in Environmental Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I am most interested in working within the public policy field, specifically in environmental policymaking. My goal is to make significant change in this country and the world, as the impacts of climate change are now upon us, and my expertise in both the field of policy and environmental science will enable me to do this.Although I am majoring in environmental science, I will also be completing a certificate in Public Policy in my last two years of my undergraduate study and then go on to complete a masters in public policy which I will receive in May 2024. Throughout my time in college, I have gained a multitude of skills that will stay with me throughout my career. For example, I have been a successful leader through my involvement with the Student PIRGs, I have improved my organizational skills through my internship with the Massachusetts EEA, and my passion for public policy has grown significantly. For the past two years, I have retained a 4.00 GPA after excelling in all of my classes. In Spring 2020 I earned the New York Farmer's Scholarship, and I have been able to attend the university for $0 for the past two semesters.
