About Cale Waddacor

Hello, my name is Cale I am a multidisciplinary creative and two-time published author with a vested interest in visual arts and event production, among other things. I work in the media and entertainment industries within art and design, marketing and PR, film and television production and post-production, journalism, book publishing, photography, music, audio engineering, sound design, exhibitions and events, as well as live broadcast sports streaming. Permanently based in the UK I look to further my artistic output and take my ideas to new heights,and am willing to relocate for the ideal role/s. With a strong love for the arts, including playing music, videography and street art, I have dedicated much free time to these creative outlets, producing a string of vivid platforms; Dead Town explored film photography, Street Art Cinemart screened documentaries, and Graffiti South Africa showcased a whole culture, while being a catalyst for more projects. I passionately wrote two internationally distributed books;'Graffiti South Africa'(published by Schiffer Books in 2014) and 'Street Art Africa'(published by Thames & Hudson in 2020), the first account of the dazzling and talented graffiti movement across the African continent. In addition, I have hosted and curated my own independent events and launches; ranging from music gigs, group art exhibitions, lectures and workshops, mural tours, film festivals and more, garnering mixed press coverage (often marketed by myself). I have also acted as an artist agent and producer for brand campaigns, live events and interior/exterior decorative projects with a large range of clients, including renowned ad agencies such as Ogilvy and Joe Public. I enjoyed performing live music with my band, The Moths surf and and crafting my own outdoor paintings across South Africa, the UK and Ireland. Creating murals for Steve Madden, Nedbank and 2K Games, while being invited to participate at Wall Games and Cheltenham Paint Festival. I've excelled at developing art pieces that I am proud of, working within allocated time and budget, solo or with a team, maintaining good client relations and fostering dialogue. I relish working within the arts space and want to continue to realise bright, bold and unique projects, always going above and beyond.
