About Caleb Besaw
After several failed attempts to even make a high school soccer team, I knew that my dream of playing soccer professionally was beyond my reach. This forced me to seriously review my life goals and what I truly wanted to do in the future. In doing so, I realized that I loved the public education system. I was fortunate to have great teachers between kindergarten and senior year, and was one of the few that could not sleep the night before school started because I was so excited to get back after a long summer break. As part of the process to become a teacher, I have attended the University of Mississippi and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. I currently attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham and am working on a Master of Arts in High School Education- General Social Sciences.
