Recently I have published an open-source tool in Python for handling policy delegation for Postfix using Redis as a real-time policy cache. This puts a lot of power in the hands of the community to create large-scale email server deployments which enforce sending quotas and control source-spoofing without every check requiring an interaction with an RDBMS.In my role as a techie, I am an Internet application programmer and UNIX cluster administrator with a strong background in cross-platform integration, task-automation and data collection, analysis and presentation. I have designed networks (including system buildout, software load, network gear, storage systems, databases, etc.) for website service and also for use in office settings. I have a strong understanding of and interest in use of relational databases to power websites of all types. I enjoy working with the intended users of a new tool to make sure that the finished product is easy to use and meets their needs.I have had the rare opportunity to find success in multiple fields; first as a web developer and website network administrator and then as a restaurateur. During the 2.5 years the restaurant was open we achieved some of the best reviews in Toronto for our excellent brunch.
