I have taken on a new Electrical Supervisor role with EMF Group, Working at the Mt Pleasant CHPP, Carrying out projects for Plant improvement and Plant Optimization. Working with a crew of 4 industrial electricians. We carry out various upgrade projects I worked at Moly-Cop (Steel Works) in Newcastle, Waratah West, as the Electrical Team Leader of the Bar Mill for 24months. Looking after a team of 6 electricians who are involved with the electrical maintenance and breakdown maintenance of the Bar Mill. Before I started at Moly-Cop I worked for 7 years at Fortescue Metals Group at the Hedland Port Operations. My previous role was the Day Shift Electrical Supervisor, I had held that position for 5 years. I was with FMG since early 2012. In that time at FMG I worked as the 2IC across 2 shift crews which involved filling as Supervisor numerous times learning to step up and take responsibility for the crew and actions of the crew with great feed back and support from the crew which promoted me to apply and get the Day Shift Supervisor role which I have been in for the past 5 years. I have been trained in LV Rescue, First Aid, HV Switching, PLC’s, Profibus, SAP,BMS, Babel Fish, Leading Edge Leadership Program and have Cert IV instrumentation qualification. I implemented SWI’s and PRT’s also put into action a number of plant and business improvements around the Anderson Point site. Before FMG I worked for O’Donnell Griffin contracted to FMG to be on electrical shift cover across varying crews for Inload and Outload circuits for roughly 2 years. Which was a good stepping stone to learn how FMG operated and to become a part of the team.
