My current role within the environmental laboratory setting involves testing for volatile organic components in soil by GC/MS. I have experience in inorganic soil/wastewater testing and sample preparation (TCLP, aqueous and solid preparation for metals analysis), microbiology (Standard Method 9223B included), as well as oil quality analysis and ion chromatography. Other skills include GC preparation and operation for dissolved gas analysis and experience with both discrete and continuous flow analyzers for automated wet chemistry methods. I have a background in coaching track and field and enjoy teaching as much as I do learning. My interests have always led me to ask: “Why?” As long as I continue to have these questions, I know I am still passionate about what I am doing.
