I coach girls basketball for the Meadowdale Feeder Program and Shoreline Sports Foundation, substitute teach in the Mukilteo School District, and write. Surfing in Pakistan, a collaboration with Sana Nasim, is forthcoming from Paper Angel Press in 2025. I co-authored, with David Shields, I Think You’re Totally Wrong: A Quarrel (Knopf, Jan. 2015), also a film directed by James Franco that played at Atlanta's Docufest, the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival, Ohio's Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, and Vancouver's DOXA Documentary Film Festival.
