About Caleb Sackmann

I started my time in the automation field, after my Ranken education, as a wiring technician. Job responsibilities included wiring control panels that ranged from the size of a laptop to very large 4 door cabinets that had to be shipped by flatbed truck. I would also mount parts on the back pans and enclosures, such as drives, enclosures, HMIs, etc. After roughly 2 years I was promoted to a project leadership position where I aided small crews in completing projects by answering technical questions, emailing engineers questions about potential errors in design, and allocating crew members to certain tasks on the project. A year after this promotion we began renting out an additional shop that I set-up all of the various work areas for and began sole management of. Several years thereafter I took over management of the manufacturing side of things at our original, and larger shop where I now run day to day operations. In addition to my history mentioned above, I have also spent months in the field installing control panels in both operating and incomplete factories and assembled various conveyor lines.
