I believe that when people are given the right tools and opportunities, they can change the world. I believe the bicycle is a tool that can eradicate poverty. I believe that local entrepreneurs pursuing innovation in open markets are key to successful development. Also, I have a liberal arts degree. And I've failed. A lot. It may be my finest skill. I have failed while tackling big problems, in atypical markets, in least developed countries. I'm not really "good" at anything, but I have loads of grit, a really broad skill set, and like to think I learn from my mistakes. I've had a few wins as well.building thousands of shelters for tens of thousands of Nepali's after the 2015 earthquake stand out as a hi-light. My team has empowered dozens of entrepreneurs with bicycles to grow their businesses, and we are proudly watching them pave their own pathways out of poverty. We have built hundreds of permanent, earthquake resistant homes, schools and community centers all over Nepal. I've covered tens of thousands of acres with organic compost, and I've designed and built a few cool businesses and buildings along the way. I hope I can leave this planet a bit better than I found it. Drop me a line.
