About Caleb Sweazey

I am a North Carolina estate planning attorney at Envisage Law and an education professional. As an attorney, I seek to understand the legal needs of each client by listening carefully, communicating clearly and regularly, and serving them and their loved ones by developing an estate plan that achieves their goals. I have practice experience in estate and business planning, contract law, property law, motion practice, personal injury litigation, and alternative dispute resolution, including negotiating with insurance companies. In academia, I helped law students form the skills necessary to succeed in law school and taught a legal research and writing class for first-year law students. I also served as the disability accommodations coordinator, where I reviewed and developed the law school’s accommodations policies to ensure compliance. I applied my negotiation, mediation, client counseling, advocacy, and mentoring skills as a coach for various law student competition teams. The team achievements include: 2019 Champion of the ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition; placed 2nd in the ABA National Client Counseling Competition. 2018 Runner-Up in ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition; invited to participate in the ABA National Client Counseling Competition. 2017 Runner-Up in ABA Arbitration Competition; invited to participate in the ABA Arbitration Competition, and the team was a semi-finalist. 2016 Champion of the National Basketball Negotiation Competition hosted by the Fordham University Sports Law Forum in New York, NY. 2016 Runner-Up in ABA Regional Mediation Competition; invited to participate in the ABA National Mediation Competition. 2015 Champion of the ABA Regional Mediation Competition; semi-finalist in the ABA National Mediation Competition. I received my Juris Doctor degree in May 2011, graduating magna cum laude. While at law school, I served on the Law Review Editorial Board as Articles & Book Reviews Editor. Prior to law school, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with distinction, in May 2008.
